Savills IM German Retail Fund 2 – High Street Plus was launched in June 2016 as a German special fund and is tailored to the needs of German institutional investors targeting investments with a risk/return profile of core to core plus.
The Fund seeks to invest in high street retail assets with long leases. Based on a fund LTV of max. 50% it targets an average income return of 4.0% pa. The first high street retail asset was acquired in July 2016.
Christian joined Savills IM in 2007 and has more than 30 years experience in the real estate business. As a Director of Investment, Christian successfully managed German Retail Fund I during the financial crisis and developed the portfolio through selective sales and reinvestments in asset management initiatives and alternative assets. The Fund was sold at the end of its lifespan in 2016 for EUR 320 million to an institutional investor. Christian is also Fund and Transaction Manager for Savills IM Real Invest 1, a EUR 500m Club Deal special fund for three German insurance companies, and has been working on growing a diversified portfolio of large-scale office assets.
