Savills IM German Retail Fund 2 – High Street Plus was launched in June 2016 as a German special fund and is tailored to the needs of German institutional investors targeting investments with a risk/return profile of core to core plus.
The Fund seeks to invest in high street retail assets with long leases. Based on a fund LTV of max. 50% it targets an average income return of 4.0% pa. The first high street retail asset was acquired in July 2016.
Michael Bader has been working in portfolio management at Savills IM for around four years. Since the beginning of 2018 he has been fund manager of Savills IM Real Invest 1, a special fund with real estate assets of approx. EUR 600 million and an investment focus on large-volume office properties in Germany's top 10 locations, as well as the German Retail Fund 2, which invests in 1a High-Street properties. Prior to joining Savills IM, Michael worked for a real estate broker and consulting firm. He holds two MSc. degrees from the Universities of Regensburg (IREBS) and Oxford.
