About the asset
- Sally R is a cloud-based optimisation service for HVAC (Heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems that monitors air quality to optimise the building’s operation. The system sends the Building Management System (BMS) optimal setpoints in real time to increase energy efficiency and improve indoor air quality for tenants and visitors.
- In July 2023 sensors that measure and monitor the air quality (temperature, humidity, VOC, CO2) were installed in one of the largest assets of the Norra Backa retail park – Handlaren 3 – comprising 15,300sqm lettable area.
- In 2024, we began to see the results of utilising Sally R. The pilot project resulted in:
- 26% energy savings achieved on Handlaren 3’s energy consumption from June 2023-May 2024 compared to the previous year.
- Calculated savings of 300,000 kWh per year.
- Reduced need for manual adjustments to the building’s operation saving resources.
Savills IM are now exploring rolling out Sally R at other managed assets.
