Europe II - Retail has received equity commitments from 16 institutional investors since its launch in July 2012, with some investors increasing their original commitments. The Fund follows a risk/return profile of core to core plus and invests in European retail assets.
The fund focus is on retail assets with long leases let to tenants with a strong covenant, providing potential for an income return of at least 5.0% pa. The fund is a conservative investment vehicle and is of particular interest to diversify risk from office-heavy institutional property portfolios.
Ian Jones joined Savills Investment Management in 2007 and has 28 years of real estate experience. As Director of Investment, Ian is responsible for cross border transactions, originating and managing transaction activities as well as defining the strategic investment focus of the European Retail Fund.
Ian has 20 years’ experience in the commercial property investment markets, with the last ten years focusing on mainland Europe, in particular retail. Ian is responsible for cross border transactions, originating and managing buying and selling activities, and shaping the European Retail Fund portfolio to meet risk and reward objectives. He is a member of the internal board supervising the transactional activities and portfolio strategies of Savills Investment Management’s funds.
